Ripon Rowel PlayersA psychological thriller in two acts
M2 (30, 40) F1 (20). A conservatory.
On a sunny afternoon, an unassuming, neatly suited man carrying a briefcase arrives at the door of a conservatory belonging to the affluent Driscolls. Is he selling double-glazing? No - it would appear that he had met Sally and Mark Driscoll in Torquay although they find it hard, especially Sally who has an embryonic drink problem, to remember either John or his wife. At first he appears a simple, self-effacing bore but gradually it emerges that he is 'dangerously obsessed' and determined by any means to blame his wife's accident on someone. As the play progresses the Driscolls ostensibly happy marriage is shattered and the bravado and confidence of a self-made man is severely tested at gun point as both Sally and Mark become terrified wrecks and their trust in each other is destroyed.
